How To Use

How to Use Chat Simulator

Build realistic Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, or fully custom conversations with editable identities, local-only uploads, playback preview, and flexible web or mobile export.

Build Realistic Chat Screenshots Fast

Chat Simulator helps you create polished conversation screenshots for Discord, WhatsApp, and Telegram without design tools or server-side uploads. Open the editor, load a fun case or start from scratch, then shape the conversation exactly how you want.

Quick Start

  1. Choose Discord, WhatsApp, or Telegram from the platform selector.
  2. Open Show settings to edit the chat title, group photo, wallpaper, people, avatars, and message-side defaults.
  3. Pick the active identity, then type messages to build the conversation.
  4. Hover any message to edit the text, avatar, or timestamp, or remove it completely.
  5. Use Play chat to preview pacing before export.
  6. Click Export to choose PNG or JPG, then export in Web or Mobile layout.

Tip: Uploaded images, avatars, and files are handled locally in the browser and are not saved to a server. Settings stay outside the preview and are automatically excluded from exports.

Supported Platforms

  • Discord: dark server-style layout with channel header, editable identities, platform-specific actions, attachments, and screenshot-ready composition.
  • WhatsApp: mobile-style group or private chat layout with platform header, date separators, read states, and attachment previews.
  • Telegram: Telegram-inspired header, wallpaper area, outgoing status states, and platform-specific attachment behavior.

Message Editing and Attachments

  • Add people, reuse saved identities inside the current chat, control which side each speaker uses by default, and set a custom name color for each person.
  • Edit or delete any message directly from the chat preview.
  • Upload temporary speaker avatars, group photos, background images, chat images, and files without sending assets to a server.
  • Edit individual message timestamps, including date and time, so each layout reflects the correct display rules.
  • Update group or channel name, subtitle or description, and avatar from the settings panel when the selected platform supports them.

Export Options

  • Open the export panel to choose PNG or JPG output, Web or Mobile layout, aspect ratio, and export quality.
  • Use Mobile export to generate a true phone-style composition instead of a simple resized desktop screenshot.
  • On desktop, exports download as a file; on phones and tablets, exports are sent to the system share sheet when supported.
  • Export logic is optimized for uploaded assets and theme-heavy layouts, helping avoid broken colors or tainted-canvas issues.

Privacy-First Workflow

  • Images, files, and avatars you upload are processed in the browser first and are not stored as user accounts or chat histories.
  • The tool is designed for mockups, content previews, and harmless creative use rather than real private messaging.
  • You can review the linked About, FAQ, Privacy, and Terms pages for site-level information, contact details, and policy notes.

Platform Roadmap

Platform Feature Roadmap

These are the next chat styles planned for expansion inside Chat Simulator. They are roadmap items, not live platform skins yet.

Planned Platforms

  • iMessage: Apple-style iPhone conversation layout with blue and gray bubbles, mobile framing, and screenshot-ready chat composition.
  • Instagram: Instagram DM-style chat simulation with creator-friendly layouts, media-aware messaging, and modern social UI details.
  • Facebook: Facebook chat and comment-style conversation layouts for social proof mockups, post replies, and classic Messenger-adjacent flows.
  • Twitter: X/Twitter DM-style message simulation for private conversation screenshots and social content mockups.
  • TikTok: TikTok direct message and creator chat-style layouts designed for social content concepts and creator-style messaging scenes.

What Expansion Means

Future platform work is focused on preserving recognizable message behavior, visual hierarchy, attachment treatment, and export quality so each layout feels more native and less like a generic chat skin.
